The National Unity Platform (NUP) has announced a strong start to its ongoing fundraising campaign, with over shs1.07 billion collected in cash, cheques, and pledges within just the first two days.
Providing an official update, Ronald Balimwezo Nsubuga, the Chairperson of the special committee overseeing the drive, revealed that shs135.8 million was collected in cash, along with cheques worthshs 21 million, on the first day alone.
Additionally, the party received pledges totaling shs869.5 million, bringing the total for day one to shs1.03 billion
On the second day, Balimwezo reported that the campaign raised an additional shs21 million in cash and shs19.7 million via mobile money.
The fundraising campaign is part of NUP’s broader strategy to mobilize resources independently and transparently ahead of future political activities and national engagements.
