Exam body, UNEB has released the 2025 Uganda Certificate of Education results.

The results indicated that 99.6% of the candidates who sat for the exams passed.

Under the new curriculum, candidates who meet the requirements are awarded the UCE certificate (Result 1).

Those who do not meet the conditions receive Result 2 or Result 3, depending on whether they missed subjects, had no project score, or scored below the basic grade.

The results also show a drop in percentage of candidates who did not qualify for the certificate from 1.9% in 2024 to just 0.31% in 2025, reflecting overall improved performance across the country.

During the release, UNEB said candidates, parents, and other interested parties may use the Short Message Services (SMS) on mobile telecom networks which will post the results of candidates on their mobile sets instantly.

In your message box, type UCE <space> INDEX NUMBER and send it to 6600.

For example, to check the results of the candidate with index number U1016/001, in your message box, type UCE U1016/001 AND SEND TO 6600.

The user should then receive his/her examination results or registration details instantly.

You will receive an SMS at a cost of shs500 .
