The Chairperson of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) in Kayunga District, Moses Kalisa Kalangwa, has died following a fatal road accident along the Kayunga–Jinja Road.
The death was announced by State Minister for Youth and Children Affairs, Balaam Barugahara, in a statement shared on social media.
“It is with deep sorrow that I regret to announce the sudden death of my friend, Chairman NRM Kayunga District, farmer, and businessman Mr. Kalangwa, who was involved in a fatal accident along the Kayunga–Jinja Road,” Balaam said.
He described the deceased as a loyal patriot and strong supporter of the ruling party and President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
“We remember and celebrate him as a loyal patriot who hosted the birthday celebrations of General Muhoozi Kainerugaba in Kayunga on the same day he graduated from Kampala University,” Balaam added.
He thanked Kalangwa for his dedication and support to the NRM and the President, saying his contribution and friendship would always be remembered.
Balaam also prayed for strength and comfort for the family, friends, and the people of Kayunga District during this difficult time.
