The UK’s leading ABBA tribute act, ABBA Re-Björn, is set to rock Kampala on Friday, 6 and Saturday, 7 September 2024, in what will be their debut performance in Uganda.
The event, that is powered by I& M Bank Uganda and Uganda Breweries Ltd (UBL), will be held at Somewhere Else Bar and Restaurant in Naguru.
During a press briefing to announce the event, Peter Bowser, the event promoter, and proprietor of Somewhere Else, assured the public that all is set, and promised fun and enjoyment for all attendees come next weekend.
“Now that we have such amazing partners in I& M Bank, and UBL, I wish to assure you
and all ABBA fans out there, that we’re more than ready to host a world class event. Our team has put in a lot of effort to make sure this event is as memorable as it should be. And our partners have made it even easier. We’re looking forward to seeing everyone come ready to have a great time, as we reminisce about the good old days, and create new memories to cherish,” Bowser said.
Bowser added that revelers who show up in ABBA-inspired attire- like groovy suits, bellbottom jeans, or disco-ready spandex catsuits, will receive special recognition.
According to organisers, wwhile tickets to each show go for shs 150,000,I& M Bank Mastercard holders will enjoy a 10% discount on ticket purchased using their cards.
Bowser also emphasized that tickets to the event are limited, as each show will only be
able to accommodate 400 attendees.
