The Uganda Electoral Commission has intensified efforts to ensure transparency and accuracy in the upcoming elections, with the ongoing National Voters Register Display.
The display is done everyday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM at all polling stations across the country.
Voters are urged to take advantage of this critical window to verify their details on the register before the exercise concludes on May 15.
The Electoral Commission emphasizes that this period is not for new registrations or transfers but strictly for verification and correction of existing information.
The Commission has also noted that the Special Interest Group (SIG) displays will run for a shorter duration since their elections are scheduled earlier.
Display Officers are stationed at every centre daily to assist voters, and both national and international observers interested in overseeing the process are encouraged to apply for accreditation via www.ec.or.ug/accreditation.
Voters are reminded that no changes will be permitted after the deadline, and failing to verify one’s details may result in being unable to vote.
With support from GCIC State House, the Electoral Commission is committed to promoting voter participation and a fair electoral process.
All Ugandans are encouraged to visit their polling stations before May 15 to ensure their voice counts.
