The National Unity Platform (NUP) has officially released the first week campaign program for its presidential flag bearer, Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, popularly known as Bobi Wine, as the country kicks off the 2026 presidential campaigns today, Monday, September 29.
According to the program issued by the party, Kyagulanyi will begin his campaign trail in Jinja City, where he is expected to launch the NUP manifesto outlining his vision and policy agenda for Uganda.
On Tuesday, September 30, the opposition leader will head to Buyende and Kamuli districts before moving to Kaliro and Luuka on Wednesday, October 1.
The campaign trail will continue on Thursday, October 2 in Bugweri and Namutumba districts, followed by Mayuge and Iganga on Friday, October 3.
The first week will conclude on Saturday, October 4, with campaign rallies in Namayingo and Bugiri districts.
Party officials said the campaign program has been designed to allow Kyagulanyi to interact directly with voters at the grassroots, share the NUP manifesto, and rally support ahead of the 2026 general election.
The Electoral Commission has officially cleared the start of presidential campaigns today, granting all candidates across the political spectrum the go-ahead to canvass for votes nationwide.
