Vivo Energy Uganda has launched a new national campaign dubbed “Unleash the Power Within,” aimed at helping Ugandan motorists reduce vehicle maintenance costs, extend engine life, and improve fuel efficiency through the use of premium Shell-branded products.

The initiative was officially unveiled at Shell Lugogo and promotes the combined use of Shell Helix Ultra 0W20 synthetic lubricant and Shell V-Power fuel as a solution to common mechanical problems caused by poor lubrication and low-quality fuels.

Speaking at the launch, Joanita Mukasa Menya, Managing Director of Vivo Energy Uganda, said the campaign is designed to empower motorists with better engine care solutions that reflect the demands of modern vehicles.

“Our focus has always been on delivering products that anticipate the needs of today’s drivers and the advanced engines they rely on,” said Menya.

She emphasized that as automotive technology evolves, engine maintenance must also advance. “As vehicles continue to advance, our engines need to advance—and at Vivo Energy, we are evolving alongside the car with Shell V-Power and the 0W20 lubricant,” she said.

According to Menya, Shell Helix Ultra 0W20 is a fully synthetic lubricant made from natural gas, offering superior engine cleanliness and wear protection. The product is engineered to enhance performance and prolong engine life, even for older vehicles.

“These premium products enable motorists to achieve better performance, improved fuel economy, and longer engine life, while delivering the confidence that comes with world-class innovation,” she said.

She also noted that Vivo Energy understands the deep personal connection many Ugandans have with their vehicles.

“Some people call their cars their babies—that’s how emotionally connected they are. We are here to support that journey and ensure every drive feels brand new,” she remarked.

Alinafe Mkavea, Chief Commercial Officer at Vivo Energy, encouraged motorists to view high-quality lubricants as an investment rather than an expense.

“When you use this lubricant, it becomes cheaper in the long run—you reduce the maintenance costs you pay on your vehicles, and we’re here to make sure your pockets remain healthy,” she said.

Mkavea added that the campaign is centered on value and vehicle pride. “This campaign brings together two things that matter deeply to every motorist; the performance of their car and the pride that comes with knowing it’s running at its very best,” she said.

As part of the campaign rollout, motorists who spend shs 100,000 on Shell V-Power fuel or service their vehicles with Shell Helix Ultra 0W20 will be entered into a draw to win weekly prizes and a grand prize of an all-expenses-paid trip for two to Cape Town, South Africa.

In addition, Vivo Energy has partnered with CFAO and Victoria Motors to conduct nationwide auto clinics. These clinics are intended to educate both motorists and mechanics on the importance of using the correct lubricants to prevent costly vehicle repairs.
