NUP’s Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu (Bobi Wine) has promised to abolish all RDC, RCC, and similar offices if elected, while vowing to strengthen the role of the police and army in protecting Ugandans.
Speaking during a campaign rally in Kakumiro on Tuesday, Bobi Wine said the move is part of his broader plan to streamline government structures and prioritize service delivery.
“We shall abolish all RDC, RCC and any such kind of useless offices. The role of the police and army will be to protect the people,” he said.
Bobi Wine promised to increase salary for all security officers and other government services providers.
“We shall increase salaries for all security officers just like we shall for teachers and doctors,” he said.
He urged people of Kakumiro to vote for him promising a new Uganda where tribalism will be no more.
“In the new Uganda there won’t be any tribalism. We shall all be equal and deserving of all opportunities. Education will be free for all beginning next year,” he said.
Bobi Wine emphasized that the reforms would not only cut unnecessary administrative costs but also improve the welfare of security personnel, teachers, and health workers, ensuring they are adequately compensated for their service.
The rally in Kakumiro drew hundreds of supporters, where Bobi Wine also outlined other policy priorities aimed at improving governance, social services, and security across the country
