Police publish list of licenced private security companies, gun dealers for 2026

Uganda Police Force has released the official list of private security companies and gun dealers authorised to operate in 2026 under the Firearms Act (Uganda) and the Police Act (Uganda).

The list, published through the Ministry of Internal Affairs, shows that more than 190 private security firms have been licensed to provide security services across the country.

The licensed companies range from long-established security providers to newer entrants into Uganda’s growing private security sector.

Among the firms cleared to operate are A1 Security Company Ltd, Able Security Group, Able Security Uganda Ltd, Able Tiger Security Ltd, Absolute Guard Services and Investigators Ltd, Acaccia Security Ltd, Accurate Security Company Ltd, Active Security Services Ltd, Admatha K9 Protective Services Ltd, Agero Security Services Ltd, Aim Security Company Ltd, Ajisa International Agency Security Ltd, Amazing Grace Guards Ltd, Anand International Consultants Ltd, Angle Security Group Ltd, Apcon Security Services Ltd, Aps Protective Services Ltd, and AR1 Security Company Ltd.

Other licensed companies include Armstrong Security Company, Arrow Security Systems Ltd, Avo Security Group Ltd, Atroks Security Company Ltd, Aza Security Company Limited, Barrel Security Services Ltd, Believe Security Ltd, Blue Nile Security (U) Ltd, Bluewhale Security Company, Brandguard Limited, Bravery Investigation Agency, Bright Security Ltd, Bisafe Security Company Ltd, Budi Security Group Ltd, Buenes Dias Guard & Security Ltd, Bulfighters Security Limited, Bulwark Security Consultants Ltd, and Calvary Security Services Limited.

The list further features companies such as Canon Security Services Ltd, Caretaker Security Company Ltd, Caritas Security Services Limited, Hatari Security, Champion Security Services Limited, Cheeter Security Company Ltd, City Cops (U) Limited, Command Security Services Ltd, Companion Security Services Ltd, Corporate Security Services (U) Ltd, Countryman Security Co. Ltd, Crown Secure Solutions Ltd, Crumark Security Limited, and Cyclops Defense Systems Limited.

Also licensed are Daron Security Company Ltd, Data Lock Security Ltd, Desert Seals Ltd, Devine Security Group Limited, Eagle Eye Security Company Ltd, Eureka Security Limited, Excalibur International Security Ltd, Executive Protection Services International, Exodus Security Ltd, Exposs Security Company Ltd, FBG Security Company, Frontier Security Services, Fulltime Security Company, G Unit Security Company Ltd, and G4S Secure Solutions.

Other notable firms include Gallant Security Ltd, Giant Security Ltd, Global Security Ltd, Golan Security Group Ltd, Gold Line Security Services Ltd, Graben Security Ltd, Guarda World Uganda Limited, Guardforce Security and Investigations Ltd, Hank Security Services Company, Hash Security Company Ltd, Hippos Security Services Limited, Horeb Services (U) Limited, Image Group Ltd, Industrial Security Services Ltd, Insight Security Company Ltd, and Intersect Security Group Ltd.

Gun dealers

The list also highlights several gun dealers authorised to trade in firearms and related equipment.

These include Stryker on Parliamentary Avenue, SPC Protectorate in Munyonyo, Global Paper Range in Nakawa, Magnum Security in Bugolobi, Luwero Industries in Nakasongola, Cyclops Defense Systems in Kololo, Saracen U Ltd in Kabalagala, Blue Whale Security in Ntinda, Tight Security in Kamwokya, Great Blue Heron in Ntinda, Image Group U Ltd in Kololo, and the China-Uganda Exchange Club in Nakaseke.

According to the Uganda Police Force, the publication of the list forms part of its regulatory mandate to supervise private security companies and firearms dealers, ensuring that only licensed and compliant entities operate within the country’s security sector.
