Uganda Police Force has released the official list of private security companies and gun dealers authorised to operate in 2026 under the Firearms Act (Uganda) and the Police Act (Uganda).
The list, published through the Ministry of Internal Affairs, shows that more than 190 private security firms have been licensed to provide security services across the country.
The licensed companies range from long-established security providers to newer entrants into Uganda’s growing private security sector.
Among the firms cleared to operate are A1 Security Company Ltd, Able Security Group, Able Security Uganda Ltd, Able Tiger Security Ltd, Absolute Guard Services and Investigators Ltd, Acaccia Security Ltd, Accurate Security Company Ltd, Active Security Services Ltd, Admatha K9 Protective Services Ltd, Agero Security Services Ltd, Aim Security Company Ltd, Ajisa International Agency Security Ltd, Amazing Grace Guards Ltd, Anand International Consultants Ltd, Angle Security Group Ltd, Apcon Security Services Ltd, Aps Protective Services Ltd, and AR1 Security Company Ltd.

According to the Uganda Police Force, the publication of the list forms part of its regulatory mandate to supervise private security companies and firearms dealers, ensuring that only licensed and compliant entities operate within the country’s security sector.
