Uganda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Odongo Jeje Abubaker, is in Antalya, Türkiye, at the invitation of his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan, to participate in the 5th edition of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum 2026.
The forum, scheduled for April 17–19 at the NEST Congress and Exhibition Centre, is convened under the theme “Mapping Tomorrow, Managing Uncertainties,” bringing together global leaders and policymakers to discuss emerging international challenges.
During the forum, Odongo is expected to deliver a keynote address as a panelist on the topic “Investing in Africa’s Future: Strategy, Scale and Competitiveness.” The discussion aligns with Uganda’s broader agenda to attract investment in key sectors aimed at accelerating socio-economic transformation.
On the sidelines of the forum, the minister will hold bilateral talks with Fidan and other foreign ministers to strengthen Uganda’s diplomatic relations and explore opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation with Türkiye and other participating nations.
He is accompanied by Uganda’s Ambassador to Türkiye, Nusura Tiperu, alongside senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Antalya Diplomacy Forum is regarded as a key platform for international dialogue, enabling stakeholders to exchange views and develop strategies for a more resilient and cooperative global order. Uganda’s participation highlights its continued commitment to multilateral diplomacy and global engagement.
