Police have said they have  doubled the shs10 million bounty placed  for information leading to the arrest of Lujja Bbosa Tabula, the man  suspected to have hired the killers of Ndiga clan head, Daniel Bbosa.

Police spokesperson, Fred Enanga told journalists on Monday whereas they have continued to receive leads on the whereabouts of Tabula, none of them has been credible.

“The information from the public has not yielded anything. To this, the Criminal Investigations Division has increased the reward to shs20 million as we ask anyone with information on Tabula’s whereabouts should inform CID,” Enanga said.

Tabula, a self-proclaimed rightful head of Ndiga clan is believed to have hired the killers of Bbosa last month.

Police recently said following interrogation of some of the suspects, it was revealed that Tabula hired the killers.

“He is wanted for his alleged role in the murder of Eng.Bbosa. He is the mastermind behind the murder plot and is wanted by CID for his alleged role in the murder by shooting of Eng. Dan Bbosa,” Enanga said.

The police spokesperson said the 38-year-old suspect is a resident of Kabango village, Kakoola parish, Mutuba Gumu sub county in Mpigi district whom he said is currently on the run and suspected to be hiding in one of the islands on Lake Victoria.

“He was motivated more so by intrigue, greed and jealous.”

He announced a shs10 million reward to anyone who could provide information leading to Tabula’s arrest.

On Monday, Enanga said whereas they have got calls from several members of the public with information about Tabula, none has been credible enough to lead to the arrest of the prime suspect in the murder of the Ndiga clan head shot dead by assailants moving on a boda boda on February 25.

He noted that the hunt for Tabula will continue.

“We ask the suspect to turn himself in to defend self but we are confident we are going to get him .Our CID and Crime Intelligence teams  will use all available tools to locate him.”
