Celebrated DJ, Benon Deejay, real name Benon Wanzusi is set to celebrate 20 years in the music industry.
Starting out as a speaker boy who used to carry speakers, he later got the urge of starting to be on the decks and as they say the rest is history.
Driven by a passion for music, he worked his way up and honed his skills, eventually earning a reputation as one of Uganda’s top DJs.
Over the years, he’s been celebrated for his versatility, spanning various genres, and captivating audiences across the country.
Today, Benon Deejay’s name is synonymous with Uganda’s vibrant music scene, and he continues to inspire aspiring DJs.
Having grown into the industry to become a maestro, Benon, as he is commonly referred to among his peers is set to celebrate two decades in the industry with an electrifying showcase on Thursday, November, 7 at Pier One in Ntinda.
According to organisers, the event will also feature performances from the country’s top DJs and artists as Deejay Benon highlights his 20 year journey in Uganda’s music journey.
Popular media personalities Mackenzie and Dash Aine will host the show while notable Ugandan artists Karole Kasita, Vampino, Mun G, and Henry Tigan will also .
Also, renowned DJs including like DJ Cizza and Aludah will do what they do best, before the main man, Deejay Benon takes to the stage.
Organisers say tickets are available go for shs 50,000 for ordinary access and shs100,000 for VIP while tables will go for shs1.5 million each.
This star-studded event promises to be a night to remember, as fans and fellow artists come together to honor Benon Deejay’s enduring influence on Uganda’s music landscape.
