Britania Allied Industries Limited has scooped five Quality Excellence Awards at the 6th Edition of the East Africa Brand Quality Awards, with its food and beverage brands earning recognition across five different categories.

The awards were presented on Friday, October 16, 2026, at Hotel Africana and Convention Center in Kampala, in recognition of brands and organisations for their commitment to quality, reliability, consumer trust and excellence across East and Southern Africa.

Britania’s awards included three Platinum honours, one Gold and one Silver award.

Its YoJus brand won the Platinum Award for Most Preferred Kids’ Natural Fruit Juice in East Africa, while TopUp was recognised with a Platinum Award for Most Preferred Tomato Sauce and Paste in East Africa.

Splash also received a Platinum Award for Most Preferred Non-Carbonated Soft Drink in East Africa.

SunSip won the Gold Award for Most Preferred Natural Fruits Beverage in East Africa, while Britania Biscuits received the Silver Award for Most Preferred Confectionery Products in East Africa.

Representing Britania Allied Industries at the ceremony were Chief Executive Officer Ali Ebraik, Marketing Manager Victor Akatwijuka and General Manager-Foods Ajith Prasad, alongside other members of the company team.

Ebraik said the recognition reflects the company’s focus on maintaining quality standards throughout its operations.

“Quality is a responsibility we take seriously at every stage of our business. This recognition reflects the commitment of our teams to maintaining high standards and delivering products that meet consumer expectations. We appreciate the trust placed in our brands and remain focused on continuous improvement and innovation,” Ebraik said.

Akatwijuka said having Britania brands recognised in five categories demonstrates the strength of the company’s product portfolio and the work behind its brands.

“Recognition across five categories demonstrates the breadth of our portfolio and the dedication behind the brands we continue to build. We are proud of the teams whose efforts contribute to this achievement and grateful to our consumers for their continued confidence in our products,” he said.

The East Africa Brand Quality Awards use public nominations and evaluation by a panel of expert judges to recognise brands that demonstrate quality, reliability, consumer trust and excellence.

For Britania, the awards recognise efforts across different parts of its operations, including manufacturing, quality assurance, sales, marketing and distribution.

The company said the recognition will further motivate its teams to strengthen manufacturing standards, invest in product innovation and continue delivering products that respond to the changing needs of consumers across East Africa.
