Devon Petroleum SMC LTD, a fast-growing company in the petroleum sector, has officially entered the Ugandan market with the launch of six service stations, including a flagship outlet in Nansana.
Founded in 2018, the company has built a reputation for delivering quality fuel products and customer-focused services. Its expansion into Uganda marks a key step in its regional growth strategy, aimed at bringing competitive energy solutions closer to consumers and businesses.
To mark the launch, Devon Petroleum is offering a promotional fuel discount across all its stations from April 30 to May 3, 2026. The company has also introduced Devon Foods, a new offering designed to provide convenient and quality food services at its service stations.
Speaking at the launch event, Managing Director Musa Kigongo said the company is committed to long-term investment in Uganda’s energy sector.
“Our launch is not just about opening stations; it is about building trust, creating employment opportunities, and contributing to Uganda’s economic development. We are committed to delivering consistent quality and value to our customers,” Kigongo said.
Operations Manager Hassan Wasswa emphasized the company’s focus on safety and efficiency, noting that Devon has invested in modern infrastructure and systems to ensure reliable service delivery.
“Our goal is to maintain high operational standards across all stations while ensuring a seamless and safe experience for customers,” he said.
Head of Marketing Muhamad Taremwa highlighted the company’s customer-centric approach, stating that the brand aims to resonate with everyday Ugandans through quality fuel and enhanced service offerings.
“We are building a brand that prioritizes customer needs, from fuel quality to overall experience, including our Devon Foods initiative,” Taremwa noted.
Tim Sabiti, representing Inspire Men Uganda, welcomed the investment, saying it would strengthen supply, improve service delivery, and support national development efforts.
Devon Petroleum’s entry into Uganda signals strong confidence in the market. The company has indicated plans to expand further, with additional service stations expected to be established in key regions before the end of the year.
