Renowned cartoonist, Dr. Jimmy Spire Ssentongohas dismissed speculations, especially on social media surrounding the death of his elder brother, Dr. John Spire Kiggundu.
Dr.Kiggundu respected medical practitioner and founder of Henrob Hospital who was found dead under unclear circumstances, prompting many to claim foul play .
Other reports indicated he had died in a guest house.
However, in a statement, the cartoonist indicated that there was no foul play in his brother’s death.
” It is not true that he was shot and dumped in a trench. He was not kidnapped by anyone. It is not true that he was killed by anyone for political or other reasons,” Dr.Spire said.
“The post-mortem report (credibly done) shows that he died of a heart attack and was only found a day after.”
He also dismissed claims that the deceased had business relationship with Buganda Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga.
“He was only a chief guest at the launch of Henrob Hospital in 2020 – which Kiggundu built over the years through very hard work from a one room clinic in 2003 to where it is now. It is named after his sons Henry and Robert.”
He said the deceased founded founded Henrob Hospital, which evolved from a modest one-room clinic in 2003 into a reputable private health facility.
“Kindly disregard the disinformation that may cause unnecessary harm and hatred to others. Let John rest,” he said.
