As the Electoral Commission concludes the nationwide Display of the National Voters Register, Ugandans have been given one final reminder, tomorrow, May 15, marks the deadline to verify voter details ahead of the 2026 General Elections.
With only a few hours left, the Commission is urging all eligible voters who have not yet confirmed their information to take immediate action.
This includes verifying names, photographs, and other personal details to ensure accuracy before the final register is compiled.
The Electoral Commission continues to emphasize that the Display of both the National Voters Register and the Special Interest Groups (SIGs) Registers is still ongoing.
These displays give Ugandans an opportunity to confirm their eligibility and correct any discrepancies.
“Don’t miss your chance to confirm your details. Visit your display centre or check online at: ec.or.ug/register,” the Commission advised.
The verification exercise is a crucial step in the electoral process, designed to promote transparency, prevent voter fraud, and ensure that all qualified citizens are able to participate in the 2026 elections.
Citizens are encouraged to use the remaining time wisely and head to their respective display centres or use the online platform provided by the Electoral Commission to confirm their registration status.
Failure to do so could result in ineligibility to vote, a risk no Ugandan should take lightly with just a year to go until the polls.
