Entebbe International Airport handled 226,301 international passengers in September 2025, a slight decline from August’s record 243,089 passengers, according to the Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA).
The figures, which include 105,043 arrivals and 121,258 departures, translate to an average of 7,543 passengers per day. While the drop reflects a small slowdown, UCAA says overall traffic remains robust.
“Although there is a slight reduction in passenger numbers compared to August, Entebbe International Airport continues to see strong demand driven by business travel, tourism, and conference activities. The airport remains a key gateway for international travel in the region,” UCAA said in a statement.
Cargo operations also grew during the month, with imports reaching 2,175 metric tonnes and exports 3,707 metric tonnes a total of 5,882 metric tonnes, up from 5,257 metric tonnes in August.
UCAA noted that the figures indicate steady recovery in both passenger and cargo traffic despite seasonal fluctuations.
