The High Court in Entebbe has convicted Charles Kyagaba on several charges linked to land grabbing in Wakiso District.
Kyagaba was found guilty of malicious damage to property, fraudulent procurement of land titles, criminal trespass, assault and forcible entry.
Prosecution told court that Kyagaba, together with accomplices still at large, spent years terrorising residents in Entebbe and other parts of Wakiso by fraudulently claiming ownership of their land and property.
Kyagaba was arrested in 2022 following complaints from residents and investigations by the State House Anti-Corruption Unit, the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions and the Criminal Investigations Directorate.
He will be sentenced on May 18, 2026.
