The Uganda Police Force (UPF) has released the list of successful applicants for the 2025 Probationer Constable recruitment exercise, following a nationwide call for applications and interviews conducted between April 28 and May 5, 2025.
The recruitment exercise, aimed at bolstering police personnel with 10,000 new constables, attracted thousands of applicants from across the country.
“The selected candidates are required to report to the Police Training School indicated against their names on July 7, 2025,” the statement read.
Applicants are expected to carry both originals and photocopies of academic documents, a National Identity Card, four passport-size photographs, and a 3×6 mattress (maximum 4 inches thick). Additionally, candidates must present two blue pens and several essential items for training.
These include:
Three counter books
Two pairs of bed sheets
A pair of gumboots and canvas shoes
A tracksuit and two t-shirts for physical exercise
A mosquito net
At least four pairs of thick cotton stockings
A 10-litre plastic jerrycan
A plastic basin or bucket
Candidates are also advised to report with personal hygiene and utility items, including:
Two bars of soap
Toothpaste and toothbrush
Towel and razor blades
Spoons, forks, plate, and cup
Six rolls of toilet paper
Two packets of sanitary pads (for female recruits)
“We congratulate all the successful applicants and wish them the very best during their training,” the Uganda Police said in its announcement.
The recruits are expected to undergo rigorous training as they prepare to join the force and serve in various capacities across the country.
