Mityana Municipality Member of Parliament, Francis Zaake has claimed there is an assassination plan against his life by unknown persons.
In a post on his social media handles, the National Unity Platform legislator said he has got wind of a plan to kill him from a whistleblower.
“I have received credible information from a whistleblower of a plot to assassinate me,” Zaake posted.
The legislator claimed in the post that plan is being orchestrated by “big wigs” in government.
“I am told that the plan is being hatched by regime officials led by the head of one of the organs of Government; a regime Minister; and a high-ranking security official.”
He however says that he has informed people close to him about the plot to eliminate his life and the people involved.
“In case the worst happens, I have shared with relevant people details of the plot and identities of the individuals involved.”
It is however not clear if Zaake has reported the matter to police to carry out investigations but also provide him with relevant security to avert the said move to assassinate him.
