Kansai Plascon has highlighted and rewarded outstanding performers in the 52nd Stanbic Uganda Cup following Kitara FC’s 2–1 victory over SC Villa in the final played at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru.
The final saw Kitara FC come from behind after SC Villa struck first, before responding quickly to level the match. Jimmy Kalema later scored the decisive goal after halftime to secure Kitara’s second Uganda Cup title in three seasons and confirm their place in the 2026/27 CAF Confederation Cup.

While Kitara FC celebrated the trophy, attention also turned to individual excellence across the tournament, with Plascon—through its Twaake platform—recognising a range of standout performers in the competition’s closing moments.
Kitara FC midfielder Gadafi Wahab was named Most Valuable Player and Best Midfielder of the tournament, while goalkeeper Meddie Kibirige was voted Best Goalkeeper. George Senkaaba finished among the top scorers with four goals. In the final, Frank Tumwesigye was named Man of the Match, while SC Villa captain David Owori was recognized as Best Defender of the tournament.

The recognition formed part of Plascon’s continued involvement in the Uganda Cup, where the brand has been associated with celebrating fan engagement, competitive growth, and individual excellence throughout the tournament.
Kitara FC’s victory adds to their rising profile in Ugandan football, following their Uganda Cup success in 2024.
