Rajiv Ruparelia, the son to Kampala businessman, Sudhir Ruparelia has died in a car accident, this website has learnt.
Rajiv , as he was commonly referred to by his peers died in the wee hours of Saturday morning at 1:54am when a car he was driving, a Nissan GTR registration number, UAT 638L hit barricades at Busabala flyover traffic lights.
He was driving from Kajjansi towards Munyonyo.
“Preliminary investigations indicate that the driver lost control of the vehicle after colliding with temporary pavements installed at the roundabout section of the flyover. The vehicle subsequently overturned and caught fire, leading to the instant death of the driver, identified as Mr. Rajiv Ruparelia,” Traffic Police spokesperson, Michael Kananura said.
Police said the exact cause of the accident is not yet known but investigations are underway .
