Uganda has released a 41-man provisional squad for the forthcoming African Nations Championship(CHAN).
CHAN is an African tournament for only home-based players.
This year’s tournament to be hosted across Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania was postponed to August, from the initial time of January ,2025.
The provisional squad released by the Uganda technical panel of Fred Muhumuza and Morley Byekwaso has 40 players drawn from Uganda Premier League, save for James Bogere, who plays for Masaka Sunshine FC, a regional league side.
The team will start with the non residential training on Monday at the Prisons ground in Luzira at 9am.
