CFAO Motors Uganda has announced winners of this year’s Toyota Dream Car Art Contest.
The winners announced on Friday saw six year old Maxwell Arinaitwe from Crest Junior School become the overall winner in the category of seven years and below while Jelani Mustafa from Kabojja International School was the first runners up with his my dream and future dream piece while Isaac Ewoku from Naguru Infant Primary School was the second runners up.
In the category of 8- 11 years, Claire Tendo Namiiro emerged the winner, while Jason Emaru from Golden Balls Primary School Mbarara and Manzi Asiphiwe Rwabose from King’s Christian Academy were the first and second runners up respectively.
In the category of 12 -15 years, Nicole Naluwanga from Taibah International School, Mahad Abeneitwe from Kibui Secondary Schol and Arshia Gupta from 7 Hills International School emerged the winner, first runners up and second runners up respectively.
Thomas Pelletier, the Managing Director of CFAO Motors Uganda applauded parents, guardians and teachers for encouraging children participate in the competition that ignites their creativity.
“This contest in not only about drawing cars but also nurturing creativity and encouraging children to dream big,”Pelletier said.
He underscored the role of encouraging children to dream and participate in the contest in igniting imaginations and showcasing the limitless potential of young minds.
“We are going to be your best supporters as you compere in global contest.”
Started in 2004, the Toyota Dream Car Art Contest has become a cherished platform for nurturing the next generation of innovators, thinkers, and dreamers.
With over 8 million participants from 140 countries and regions, the contest has sparked countless imaginations and showcased the boundless potential of young minds.
The winners in each category got school fees for one term worth shs2 million and other prizes as well as paint and Kinds Uganda session worth shs55000 each.
The winners of the Uganda national contest will also have the honour of representing Uganda in the world contest, which will be held in Japan.
This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity will allow the winners to showcase their artworks on a global stage and compete against other talented young artists from around the world.
The prizes for the world contest winners are truly spectacular with the first-place winners in each category will receive USD 5,000 for themselves and USD 10,000 for their school.
Additionally, the first and second runners-up will receive USD 3,000 each, making this contest not only a chance to showcase talent but also a chance to make a difference.
