Concern is mounting over the whereabouts of two students from the Uganda School for the Deaf in Ntinda who have been missing since July 24, 2026, prompting an appeal for public assistance in tracing them.

The missing students have been identified as Alex Muhoozi, 16, and Edrine Mubiru, 14.

According to preliminary information, the two were last seen at around 1:00 p.m. on the day they disappeared after reportedly jumping over the school’s perimeter wall.

Police at Kira Road launched investigations saying the pair hasn’t been found since the day they disappeared from school.

“Preliminary information indicates that the two students were last seen at the school at around 1:00 p.m. on 24th July 2026, when they reportedly jumped over the school perimeter wall and left the premises. They have not been seen since,” police said.

Police said efforts to locate the children are ongoing and urged members of the public to help with any information that could lead to their whereabouts.

“We appeal to anyone who may have seen the two children or has any information regarding their whereabouts to immediately report to the nearest police station or contact the investigating officers,” the statement added.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the CID Kira Road Division on 0740 441 520 or the Head Teacher of Uganda School for the Deaf on 0787 345 817, or report to the nearest police station.

Investigations into the disappearance are ongoing as police work to establish the circumstances under which the two students left the school and where they may have gone.
