CFAO Mobility Uganda has launched the all-new Suzuki ACROSS Hybrid on the Ugandan market.
The launch was accompanied by a promotional campaign aimed at reducing the cost of vehicle ownership for customers.
Under the limited-time campaign dubbed “The Upgrade You Deserve,” customers purchasing any Suzuki model will receive one year of free fuel and comprehensive insurance. Buyers will also continue to enjoy the company’s standard package of two years of free vehicle servicing and a three-year manufacturer warranty.
Company officials said the introduction of the hybrid SUV comes at a time when motorists are grappling with increasing fuel and maintenance costs.
The Suzuki ACROSS Hybrid is powered by a 1.5-litre K15C engine paired with Suzuki’s 12-volt Smart Hybrid Vehicle System. The setup delivers 76 kilowatts of power and 137Nm of torque while utilizing regenerative braking and an integrated starter generator to improve fuel efficiency.
Available in both five-speed manual and six-speed automatic transmission options, the SUV has a manufacturer-rated fuel consumption of 5.3 litres per 100 kilometres and a driving range of up to 900 kilometres on a 45-litre fuel tank.
Inside, the vehicle comes equipped with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system compatible with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The GLX trim level also features a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, a 360-degree camera system, and a head-up display.
Safety equipment across the range includes six airbags, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, autonomous emergency braking, and an electronic stability program.
Speaking during the launch, Suzuki Sales Manager at CFAO Mobility Uganda, Dan Engola, said the new SUV responds to changing consumer priorities.
“Today’s consumers are making smarter, more calculated decisions. They are looking beyond the initial purchase price and factoring in long-term maintenance, servicing, and fuel economy. And Suzuki Across delivers exactly that,” Engola said.
He added that the all-new hybrid SUV introduces “a sophisticated SUV experience that delivers practical, everyday economy.”
CFAO Mobility Uganda said the campaign is intended to address customer concerns over rising ownership expenses by absorbing key running costs during the first year.
Marketing Manager Isaac Tegule said the initiative is designed to make brand-new vehicle ownership more accessible to Ugandans.
“Many motorists believe that owning a brand-new vehicle is out of reach. With ‘The Upgrade You Deserve’ campaign, we are proving that upgrading to a zero-mileage Suzuki is not only attainable but financially smarter. We are giving drivers absolute peace of mind and predictability by covering their fuel, insurance, and servicing costs,” Tegule said.
To expand accessibility, the company is also offering flexible acquisition options, including outright purchase, asset financing through partner banks, and trade-in arrangements that allow customers to exchange their current vehicles toward the purchase of a new Suzuki.
The promotion applies across the Suzuki range distributed by CFAO Mobility Uganda, including the Fronx, S-Presso, Eeco Van, XL6, Grand Vitara Hybrid, Ertiga, Super Carry, Jimny 5-Door, and the newly launched ACROSS Hybrid.
