The International University of East Africa (IUEA) has officially announced the opening of its August 2025 Intake, ushering in a new wave of academic opportunities for students across the region.

As part of this launch, IUEA is proud to unveil a new range of scholarship opportunities specifically designed for the top-performing candidates of the UACE 2024 examinations.

Speaking at the official launch ceremony, IUEA Vice-Chancellor Prof. Emeka Akaezuwa reaffirmed the university’s ongoing mission to deliver quality, innovative, and accessible education tailored to meet the needs of the modern world.

“We are thrilled to open the doors for our August 2025 Intake and even more proud to introduce scholarship opportunities for the best-performing UACE candidates,” said Prof. Akaezuwa.

“At IUEA, we remain committed to nurturing the next generation of leaders, innovators, and changemakers by ensuring that no talented student is left behind, regardless of their background.”

The scholarship initiative, which targets top UACE 2024 performers, is part of IUEA’s broader commitment to equity and access in education.

These merit-based awards are designed to ease the financial burden on high-achieving students, enabling them to pursue their academic dreams in an environment that values excellence, innovation, and inclusivity.

Naomy Kemboi, Head of Marketing at IUEA, echoed this commitment, emphasizing the university’s goal to bridge opportunity gaps for learners across the region.

“At IUEA, we believe education should be accessible, practical, and future-ready regardless of background or circumstance,” she said.

Kemboi added that by doing this, they intend to invest in the future.

“These scholarships are part of our way of investing in the future one that will be shaped by the very students we support today,” she added.

IUEA continues to distinguish itself as a hub of diversity, forward-thinking education, and technological integration.

With a wide range of programs available both on-campus and online spanning Engineering, ICT, Business, Law, and Humanities, the university caters to the evolving needs of students in the 21st-century job market.

Whether studying in person or remotely, students are equipped with the tools, mentorship, and support needed to thrive in an increasingly competitive global economy.

In an inspiring call to action, the Vice-Chancellor urged prospective students to seize the moment:

“This is your time,” said Prof. Akaezuwa. “Apply today and begin your journey at a university that sees you, supports you, and challenges you to be your best.”

The August 2025 Intake is more than just a registration period but it is an open invitation to join a vibrant, inclusive, and dynamic learning community that prioritizes both academic excellence and personal growth.

Prospective students can apply now or learn more about admissions and scholarship eligibility by visiting www.iuea.ac.ug or contacting the IUEA admissions office directly.
