Kampala’s entertainment scene is set for a new chapter following the launch of a weekly comedy and live entertainment platform aimed at providing city residents with a refreshing midweek experience.
Dubbed “4 Pitchers Midweek Madness,” the event will make its debut on June 2 at District 24 along Kira Road, bringing together some of Uganda’s most celebrated comedians, musicians, and performers under one roof.
Organisers say the initiative is designed to fill a gap in Kampala’s social calendar by creating a consistent Tuesday night attraction that blends comedy, music, and audience interaction.
The launch edition will feature performances from Jackie Chandiru, Amooti Omubalanguzi and the Amarula Family, Maulana and Reign, Qkamba and Sunny, Daniel Omara, and Sundiata. Guests will also be treated to live music by the Artwave Band and mixes from DJ Phil and Niyo Official.
According to the organisers, the event is expected to provide a platform for local entertainers to engage audiences outside the traditional weekend schedule while giving Kampala residents an opportunity to unwind after work.
The initiative comes at a time when entertainment venues are increasingly seeking innovative concepts to attract audiences throughout the week. Industry observers note that recurring comedy events have become an important avenue for nurturing talent while contributing to the growth of Uganda’s creative economy.
With free entry and a diverse line-up of performers, the organisers are optimistic that Midweek Madness will become a regular fixture on Kampala’s entertainment landscape.
