Murdered TikToker Diana Namulinde, popularly known as Diana Skyz, was among the 8,432 students scheduled to graduate at the 76th Makerere University graduation ceremony later this month before her life was tragically cut short.
Diana, 24, had recently completed her studies at Makerere University Business School (MUBS) and was awaiting graduation during the ceremony scheduled to run from February 24 to 27, 2026.
She was found dead in her apartment in Kwaata Zone, Kyanja Ward, Kawempe Division, on Wednesday, February 4, a day after she was allegedly attacked. Her body was discovered after friends, who had been unable to reach her, went to check on her.
Police have since arrested a security guard attached to the premises after he was found in possession of items suspected to have been stolen from the deceased. A cleaner has also been detained to assist with ongoing investigations.
Diana was laid to rest at her ancestral home in Namayumba Sub-County, Kyampisi, Wakiso District, where family, friends, and supporters gathered to mourn a young woman whose academic and professional ambitions were on the brink of realization.
During the emotional burial, her family appealed to the public—particularly TikTok users—to refrain from spreading unverified information about her death, warning that misinformation was hampering police investigations and deepening the family’s pain.
