The ruling NRM Electoral Commission has unveiled the nomination fees for party members who intend to contest for various positions on the party ticket in the 2026 general election.
The nomination fees released on Wednesday have seen a hike .
The NRM electoral commission said the nomination fees can be paid in the bank or via mobile money
“ All aspirants must present proof of payment — either a bank deposit slip or a mobile money transaction ID — to the designated Presiding Officer (Commissioner or Registrar) during the nomination process,” the NRM EC said, urging all aspirants to retain their transaction IDs as confirmation of payment.

Member of Parliament – shs3 million 3,000,000
Lord Mayor – shs1.5million
City Division Mayor – shs1 million
LCV Chairperson – shs1 million
Lord Councillor – shs1 million
Municipal Mayor – shs750,000
City Councillor – shs500,000
LCV Councillor – Shs200,000
Division Chairperson – Shs200,000
Municipal/City Division Councillor – Shs100,000
Sub-County/Town Council Councillor – Shs20,000

First National Vice Chairman – shs10 million
Second National Vice Chairperson (Female) – shs10 million
Regional Vice Chairpersons (Central, Eastern, Northern, Western, Karamoja, Kampala) – shs5 million
