One person has died and another sustained injuries following the collapse of a building in Buziga on Sunday night.
According to initial reports, the deceased died on the spot, while another individual was rescued and is currently receiving medical attention.
In a brief statement, the Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) confirmed the incident and the ongoing rescue operations.
“We have learnt of a building that has collapsed in Katuuso Zone, Buziga Parish, Makindye Division in the night of June 15, 2025.
KCCA together with Police are on ground as rescue efforts are ongoing. One person has been rescued and is receiving medical attention,” KCCA wrote in a brief statement.
Details about the cause of the collapse remain unclear. However, KCCA assured the public that more information would be provided as it becomes available.
