Police at Katwe have arrested three men after a video circulated online showing a group jumping over a fence, breaking glass doors, and assaulting a man inside a premises.
In a vidoe that circulated allover social media, the suspects claimed they were looking for TikTok creator Omukunja Atasera.
The arrested men have been identified as Sali Ethan, alias “Unruly”, Isaac Sali, and Isaac Sejongo.
They were caught during an intelligence-led operation targeting criminal gangs in Makindye Division.
SP Rachael Kawala, Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson, said the identity and whereabouts of the victim are still unknown urging victims to always report to police.
“We urge the individual seen being assaulted, or anyone with relevant information, to report to the nearest police station to support ongoing investigations,” she said.
Kawala cautioned youths to avoid engaging in acts of violence.
“We strongly warn members of the public against engaging in acts of lawlessness and mob justice. Efforts to apprehend additional suspects are ongoing,” She added.
