Joint security forces on Monday morning conducted a targeted operation in Kaboja A, Kasenge Parish, Kyengera Town Council, Wakiso District, resulting in the fatal neutralization of two suspected criminals.
Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson, Superintendent of Police Racheal Kawala, confirmed that the suspects were killed during a disruptive operation executed at around 8am.
“Preliminary findings indicate that the suspects were armed with knives, breaking implements, toy guns, and other items believed to facilitate criminal activity,” SP Kawala said.
She added that security personnel recovered suspected forged documents from one of the individuals, including a Uganda Police warrant card (No. 38468) bearing the name Byaruhanga Moses, listed as a Senior Traffic Sergeant and reportedly issued in 2016. A National Identification Card in the name Kachingwa Moses was also retrieved.
According to police, investigations are ongoing to establish the suspects’ true identities and ascertain whether they are linked to wider criminal networks operating in the area.

This operation comes amid heightened security deployments following a string of panga-wielding gang attacks reported in Kyengera Town Council and several parts of Wakiso District.
Over the past two to three months, residents have raised concerns over rising nighttime robberies, home invasions, and assaults carried out by armed youth groups.
In response, security agencies have intensified patrols, intelligence-led operations, and community surveillance in affected areas, aiming to dismantle gangs responsible for the violence and restore calm.
