Vivo Energy Uganda has launched  the ‘Omunene W’ekkubo’ campaign, celebrating Uganda’s hardworking drivers and positioning Shell FuelSave Diesel as the preferred fuel for motorists.

Running for three months, the campaign is also offering value-driven initiatives that improve the diesel customer experience at Shell service stations.

These include training taxi operators on product quality and defensive driving, organising health camps and blood donation drives in taxi park communities, promotional activities to improve customer service and reward loyalty, and enhancing stage visibility and lighting in parks.

By delivering more mileage, better engine protection, and improved fuel efficiency, Shell FuelSave Diesel supports drivers who keep Uganda moving ─ those who brave tough terrains and tight schedules to earn a living and drive the economy forward.

Mutungi Mark, Brand Manager Fuels at Vivo Energy Uganda, stated, “We recognise the critical role drivers play in Uganda’s economy. With Shell FuelSave Diesel, we provide a fuel solution that maximises mileage, enhances engine protection, and boosts efficiency. Through this campaign, we shall also equip drivers with essential training, health support, and rewards to help them save money and ensure their vehicles serve them longer.”

Hellen Bwengye, Marketing Manager at Vivo Energy Uganda said the campaign represents a transformative step in how the company supports and engage with Uganda’s transport sector.

“Through this initiative, we are not only delivering high-quality Shell FuelSave Diesel but also investing in the well-being and success of taxi operators. From safety training and health camps to exclusive rewards and improved taxi park environments, we are dedicated to enhancing the everyday experiences of drivers who keep Uganda moving,” Bwengye said.

“This partnership with the Uganda Taxi Operators Federation is a testament to our long-term vision of fostering a safer, more efficient, and rewarding transport ecosystem. By equipping drivers with knowledge on fuel efficiency, defensive driving, and vehicle maintenance, we empower them to optimise performance while ensuring road safety. The campaign’s customer loyalty rewards further highlight our appreciation for their hard work, making every journey with Shell FuelSave Diesel more valuable. This is just the beginning of a brighter future for Uganda’s transport sector.”

Joanita Menya Mukasa, Managing Director at Vivo Energy Uganda said, “Shell FuelSave Diesel isn’t just fuel. It’s engineered to deliver superior efficiency and durability. With Omunene W’ekkubo, we reinforce our commitment to the driving community by offering training, health initiatives, and incentives that improve their daily experience. This campaign strengthens our bond with drivers, ensuring they receive the best fuel and support for their journeys.”

The campaign includes regional activations in Central, Eastern, Northern, and Western Uganda, where drivers can learn more about Shell FuelSave Diesel and win prizes.

To participate, drivers must fuel up with Shell Fuel Save Diesel for at least shs50,000.
