What began as a routine media briefing quickly transformed into an electrifying mini-concert as Ugandan music star Sheebah Karungi, popularly known as Queen Karma, officially announced her highly anticipated ‘Return of the Queen’ concert. The event is slated for Friday, August 22, at the Kampala Serena Victoria Hall.
The Addis Hall at Kampala Serena Hotel brimmed with excitement as Sheebah’s loyal fans, affectionately called ‘Sheebaholics,’ filled the venue, turning the announcement into a lively celebration.
Prior to Sheebah’s grand entrance, performances and remarks were delivered by artists Kataleya and Kandle, Yung Mulo, and Kabako, alongside representatives from the event’s main sponsor, I&M Bank. Kabako energized the crowd with a preview of “Sitani Tonkema,” a collaboration featuring Sheebah and Fik Fameica.
Media personality Sandra Lian hosted the event, keeping the energy high with her dynamic stage presence.
When Sheebah finally appeared, draped in a maroon silk outfit and seated regally on a white and gold throne, the crowd erupted into cheers, accompanied by a dazzling mini fireworks display. She then teased her latest single, “Somebody,” which sent the audience into a frenzy.
Expressing gratitude, Sheebah said, “Thank you all for turning up in big numbers, I don’t take this for granted. I’m equally as excited as you are, and I can’t wait to vibe with you all at the concert.” She added that she and her team are working diligently to deliver a memorable experience.
