The Ministry of Works and Transport (MoWT) has urged project-affected persons (PAPs) whose land titles remain in its custody, previously taken over by the former Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA), to collect their titles and check the status of ongoing subdivisions.
This week, the exercise targets landowners along the Busunju-Kiboga-Hoima Road.
Affected property owners are asked to report to Kiboga District Headquarters on Thursday, November 27, and to Kyankwanzi District Headquarters on Friday, November 28, during official working hours.
Permanent Secretary Bageya Waiswa said landowners should carry their National Identification Cards and a passport photo.
“We sincerely apologise for the delay and any inconvenience caused, and we appreciate the cooperation of all landowners in concluding this long-overdue exercise,” Waiswa said.
The exercise began with land along the Mukono-Katosi/Kisoga-Nyenga, Kampala-Entebbe Expressway, and Kampala Northern Bypass projects.
The ministry has promised to announce further dates for other affected landowners along completed road projects.
