Kansai Plascon has reaffirmed its commitment to partnership-driven growth, bringing together its dealer and distributor network at a vibrant 2026 Partners’ Gala held at the Kampala Serena Hotel.
Held under the theme “The Colours of Partnership,” the event underscored the company’s reliance on collaboration across its value chain, highlighting the role of distributors, dealers, and partners in shaping its performance in Uganda.
The evening opened with a cocktail reception that set a relaxed and celebratory tone before transitioning into a series of performances, including a high-energy showcase by the Ghetto Kids and a live musical set by Kenneth Mugabi alongside his band. A fireworks display marked one of the night’s key highlights, signalling the start of the formal programme.
Managing Director Dr. Santosh Gumte said the company’s growth is anchored in the strength of its partnerships.
“When we talk about ‘The Colours of Partnership,’ we are really talking about people—different strengths, different perspectives, different journeys—all coming together to create something stronger than any one of us could build alone,” he said.
He added that the company’s focus goes beyond expansion.
“As we grow, our focus is not just on expanding the business, but on deepening these relationships. We are investing in smarter solutions, more sustainable products, and stronger systems, but at the core of all that is you, our partners,” Gumte said.

Head of Sales Moses Kato emphasized the importance of execution and consistency in driving shared success.
“Partnership, for us, is something very practical. It’s in the way we show up for each other in the market, the way we solve challenges together, and the way we keep pushing for better results,” he said.
He noted that the company’s progress is built on trust and collaboration.
“What gives us confidence going forward is that we are not starting from zero but building on a strong foundation of trust,” Kato added.
A key feature of the evening was the awards ceremony, where outstanding partners were recognized across categories including Best Regional Performers, Largest Upcountry Dealer, Best Automotive Dealer, and Top Dealers in Uganda. The awards highlighted the company’s efforts to incentivize performance and strengthen its distribution network.

The gala also featured a raffle draw, curated dining experience, and continued entertainment, blending business recognition with celebration.
As the event concluded, Kansai Plascon reiterated its commitment to strengthening its partner ecosystem, positioning collaboration as a central driver of its long-term growth strategy in Uganda’s competitive paints and coatings market.
