Preparations are in high gear for the fourth edition of the Absa KH3 7 Hills Run, with organisers confirming a high-profile entertainment lineup featuring some of Uganda’s leading music stars.
The event, scheduled for May 17 at Millennium Grounds in Lugogo, will feature performances from Azawi, Winnie Nwagi, King Saha and Dax Vibes in the post-race entertainment segment.
The annual run, organised by Absa Bank Uganda in partnership with Kampala Hash House Harriers (KH3), focuses on supporting initiatives aimed at improving the welfare and education of the girl child.
Funds raised from the 2026 edition will go toward menstrual hygiene management in schools, bursary support for vulnerable learners, and renovation of school facilities in selected regions.
Absa Bank Uganda officials say the event continues to serve as a platform for both community engagement and awareness creation.
“This run is about community, resilience, and purpose,” said Helen Basuuta Nangonzi, Marketing and Customer Experience Director at Absa Bank Uganda.
She added that the entertainment element is designed to complement the energy of the day.
“The energy of these artists mirrors the passion of our runners and their performances will provide a fitting finale to a day driven by collective effort to support the girl child,” she said.
Beyond participation, the event also features competitive rewards for athletes. The top male and female finishers in the 21km race will each receive a land title from Bakaima Real Estate Agents, while the overall winner will receive shs 10 million.
The best-performing athletes will also qualify for an all-expenses-paid trip to the Absa Black Stars Marathon in Accra, Ghana.
Race kits are available at shs 35,000 from selected Absa Bank branches and partner outlets. The run will flag off at 6:30am, with both competitive runners and recreational participants expected to take part.
