Fort Portal Secondary School has once again emerged among the top-performing schools in the 2025 Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) examinations, recording outstanding results, particularly in science subjects.
The school’s top candidate achieved an impressive 8 As and 2 Bs, while other high achievers scored 7 As and 3 Bs, as well as 6 As and 4 Bs. Overall, the majority of candidates attained A and B grades, reflecting the institution’s strong academic standards.
Leading students included Musiimenta Walter, Kahuma Hanisha, Musiimenta Phiona, Kasemiire Evelyn, Kabasinguzi Peninah, and Muhumuza Ronald, among others.
Speaking on the results, Head Teacher Mr. Reagan Kateregga expressed pride in the school’s performance, highlighting the exceptional improvement in science subjects.

He praised both teachers and students for their dedication and thanked parents for their unwavering support in providing scholastic materials and guidance during the examinations.
The 2025 UCE results were officially released yesterday by the Minister of Education and Sports and First Lady, Janet Kataaha Museveni.
This year marks the second cohort of learners assessed under the new Competence-Based Curriculum (CBC).
