Former Uganda Breweries Limited Marketing Director and Corporate Relations Director, Juliana Kagwa has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Uganda Tourism Board.
Kagwa fills the position previously held by Lilly Ajarova whose term expired and she opted not to seek reappointment.
In 2024, Kagwa left UBL to join Seed Co , a company that develops, breeds and supplies certified seed species with a focus on hybrid maize, wheat, soya bean, beans rice, potatoes, sorghum, cotton, and vegetables .
She started her career at Diageo as a Graduate management trainee has worked in various marketing roles in Uganda and Kenya, including a brief stint as Country Manager for Heineken.
She was in 2020 moved from the position of Marketing and Innovations Director at UBL to become the new Corporate Relations Director, a position she has held until 2024 when she joined Seed Co in South Africa.
