The family of Rajiv Ruparelia, who lost his life in a motor accident at Busabala in the early hours of Saturday, May 3, has announced that his cremation will take place on Tuesday, May 6, 2025.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the family confirmed that the cremation will be held at the Hindu crematorium in Lugogo at 2:30 p.m.
“It is with a deep and heavy heart that we announce the passing of our son Rajiv Ruparelia early this morning. Cremation will be held at the Hindu crematorium in Lugogo at 2.30pm, Tuesday May,6, 2025,” the statement from the Ruparelia family reads.
The family has also appealed to the public to respect their privacy during this difficult period.
“The family asks that their privacy be respected during this tough and trying time,” the statement adds.
A vigil is currently being held at the Ruparelia residence in Kololo and will continue until the day of the cremation.
