Police in Luwero District are investigating a case of alleged aggravated defilement involving a 13-year-old female student.
The incident happened on September 1, 2025, at Bamunanika Trading Centre.
According to police, the girl was attacked after visiting a local hotel restroom and forced into a nearby open room where the act was committed.
She raised an alarm, prompting swift intervention from the community and police.
Officers visited the crime scene, collected evidence, and recorded witness statements.
Following a manhunt, the suspect, identified as Mabirizi Sharif, alias Muzei, was arrested at Kyangwali Refugee Camp in Kikuube District.
He is currently in police custody as investigations continue.
