President Museveni has appointed Justice Moses Kazibwe Kawumi as the new deputy Justice.
Justice Kazibwe is currently on the Court of Appeal bench and has previously served as the Mubende resident judge but also served as Kabale resident judge among other places he has worked in.
The deputy chief justice position has been vacant since the official retirement of Justice Richard Buteera in April last year after clocking the mandatory 70 years of age.
According to State House, the president also appointed Agnes Alum as the new chief registrar.
She previously served as the Registrar for Magistrates Affairs and Data Management.
