RUBiS Energy Uganda has officially launched the Castrol Power 1 Motorcycle Oil in the Ugandan market, reaffirming its commitment to supporting the country’s dynamic boda boda community.

The launch event, held at the RUBiS Energy Service Station in Makindye, also marked the beginning of the brand’s inspirational “Ekijja Kijje” (Come what may) campaign — a celebration of the resilience, readiness, and determination of Uganda’s boda riders, who form the backbone of the nation’s urban and rural transport network.

The newly introduced Castrol Power 1 Motorcycle Oil is engineered to deliver superior engine protection, smooth acceleration, and enhanced performance, offering a reliable solution for riders who depend on their motorcycles as a source of income.

The campaign’s central message — “An oil that protects your boda is an oil that protects your dreams” — underscores the importance of safeguarding riders’ livelihoods and long-term aspirations through dependable engine care.

Speaking during the launch, William Fillet, Managing Director of RUBiS Energy Uganda, highlighted the company’s deep appreciation for the entrepreneurial drive of Uganda’s riders.

“We at RUBiS Energy understand the need for a functioning engine deeply, and we know that in this business, time is money,” Fillet said.

“We also know that a breakdown is an inconvenience that leads to lost earnings and worry. You face life’s challenges with a spirit we admire — a spirit encapsulated in the phrase every Ugandan knows and lives by, ‘Ekijja Kijje’, a declaration of perseverance, preparedness, and intense drive.”

The launch event created an energetic and memorable experience for riders and mechanics, reinforcing Castrol’s reputation as a global leader in engine lubrication and RUBiS Energy’s role in fuelling mobility and enterprise.

According to rider insights shared at the event, engine protection remains the top concern among boda operators, who view motorcycle maintenance as critical to sustaining their livelihoods.

Olivia Nahwera, Fuel Sales and Specialities Manager at RUBiS Energy Uganda, emphasized the practical and emotional relevance of the new Castrol product to everyday riders.

“Castrol Power 1 plays directly into the reality of the boda rider by ensuring engine protection, reduced maintenance costs, and that their hustle will never stop due to breakdowns,” Nahwera noted.

“This product is performance, protection, and smooth riding all in one. The oil safeguards your ability to provide, reinforcing our brand presence as a reliable and supportive partner in your journey. We urge every rider to trust the oil that protects what matters most.”

As part of the “Ekijja Kijje” campaign, RUBiS Energy Uganda also acknowledged mechanics as key decision influencers, recognizing their vital role in promoting the use of high-quality motorcycle oils.

The launch of Castrol Power 1 Motorcycle Oil represents a major step for RUBiS Energy Uganda in expanding product awareness and strengthening its relationship with the boda boda sector across the country.
