Tight-mark your partners so they don’t fall into temptation, Bishop asks couples

The Kasana-Luweero Bishop, Rt.Rev. Lawrence Mukasa has urged couples to ensure they tight-mark each other to avoid falling into temptations.

“It is  really bad to learn that among married couples, you have contracted the virus. How is that explainable?  You the marrieds should always tight-mark each other to avoid any chances of temptations which might lead to adultery and might expose you to contracting HIV/AIDS,” Bishop Mukasa said.

He was on Sunday speaking to Luweero Christians during the Diocesan Holy Matrimonial day celebrations held at St. Kizito Nattyoole Parish.

Bishop Mukasa said it is embarrassing to see that HIV prevalence among married couples being high, noting that it is astonishing to hear people getting married when they are HIV negative but a few years later, they turn out positive.

“It is a sign of infidelity which is contrary to the vows you take that you will stick to one another till death does you part,” he said.

He insisted that it should never be heard of for marrieds to be among those reported to be HIV positive.

The prelate urged couples to remain faithful to each other.

The remarks came a few days after Uganda joined the rest of the world to commemorate the World AIDS day held annually on December, 1.
