There is trouble again between socialite, Zari Hassan and her husband, Shakib Lutaaya.
It all started when Zari was visited at their South African home by her ex-husband and Tanzanian singer, Diamond Platnumz.
According to the socialite, this seemed to have incensed Shakib and asked why she maintains strong bond with Platinumz
“Then my husband starts tripping…saying you invited your man to the party. You are still in love with him. I told him I didn’t invite Diamond, I did not know he was coming. He was mad, he questioned me on why I didn’t tell him Diamond was coming. He said, maybe I’m still in love with the father of my children,” Zari said during a live stream.
The socialite said whereas he didn’t invite Platinumz, he can’t stop him from seeing his children.
She said she is afraid of trying to prove herself to Shakib, adding that at home she provides everything.
“I have to be here every day proving myself to you. Proving myself to you every day! What do you bring on the table for me to be here every day proving a point to you?”
The comments by Zari have attracted mixed reactions from members of the public, especially on social media with majority blaming the socialite for the comments they termed as “insensitive”.
However, others have run to Zari’s defence, claiming by the time she made the comments, she was drunk.
