A medical specialist in Mukono has died of injuries sustained on the head after being hit with a paver by unknown assailants.
Kampala Metropolitan deputy police spokesperson, Luke Owoyesigyire said in a statment that Dr. Peter Mubiru Peter, a radiography specialist at Happy Doctor Clinic in Seeta was attacked on Sunday, April, 19, at around 7pm as he returned home from work.
“The incident occurred on April,19, 2026 at around 7:00 PM in Bagala Zone, Goma Division, Mukono Municipality, when the deceased was attacked by assailants riding on a motorcycle as he returned home. He sustained serious head injuries and was later pronounced dead at Mulago National Referral Hospital,” police said.
Arrest
According to police, following the attack, police carried out and intelligence led operation, leading to the arrest of four suspect.
The suspects have been identified as Abubaker Mususwa, Joshua Olowo, George Muyanja, and Umar Basibu.
Owoyesigyire said investigations into the matter are still ongoing, including efforts to recover exhibits and obtain a postmortem report.
“Further updates will be provided as inquiries progress,” police assured the public.
