Several African leaders have arrived in Uganda ahead of President Yoweri Museveni’s swearing-in ceremony scheduled for tomorrow, at Kololo Independence Grounds.
Among the leaders who arrived on Monday are President Brahim Ghali of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic, President Taye Atske Selassie of Ethiopia, and President Félix Tshisekedi of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Also in Uganda for the inauguration are Zimbabwe’s Vice President Constantino Chiwenga and Equatorial Guinea’s Prime Minister Manuel Osa Nsue Nsua.
The visiting dignitaries were received at Entebbe International Airport by senior Ugandan government officials, including ministers and top security personnel.
President Museveni is expected to take the oath of office before invited guests, regional leaders and foreign delegations during the ceremony at Kololo amid heightened security across Kampala.
