Uganda Baati Limited has appointed its Head of Human Resources and Administration, Amon Aruho, to oversee company operations following the departure of Chief Executive Officer George Arodi.
Arodi concluded his tenure on October 21, 2026, prompting the company to put interim leadership arrangements in place as it prepares to appoint a substantive chief executive.
According to a statement issued by Uganda Baati, Aruho will oversee operations in consultation with Regional Chief Executive Officer Dipti Mohanty during the transition period.
The arrangement is intended to maintain business continuity and ensure the company continues serving its customers, partners and other stakeholders while the leadership transition is underway.
“During this transition, Mr. Amon Aruho, Head of Human Resources and Administration, will oversee the company’s operations in consultation with the Regional CEO, Mr. Dipti Mohanty, pending the appointment of a substantive CEO,” the company said.

Uganda Baati did not provide a timeline for appointing Arodi’s successor or disclose further details regarding the circumstances surrounding his departure.
The company, however, reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining stable operations and delivering value to its stakeholders.
“Uganda Baati remains committed to business continuity and delivering value to its customers and stakeholders,” the statement added.
The company also thanked Arodi for his contribution during his tenure.
“We thank Mr. Arodi for his leadership and contribution to Uganda Baati and the Safal Group,” it said.
Uganda Baati said additional information regarding the transition would be communicated in due course.
The interim arrangement places operational oversight in the hands of an existing senior executive while the company prepares for a permanent leadership appointment.
