The key supect in the murder of saxophonist and Afrog Band co-founder, Moses Matovu has been charged and remanded to prison.
Vincent Arnold Nsamba, alias Sitenda, was on Monday afternoon arraigned before Makindye Chief Magistrate’s court where he was charged with causing the death of Moses Matovu and remanded to Luzira Upper Prison.
Prosecution told court that Nsamba, 47, a driver and resident of Agip Zone in Kibuli Parish confronted and caused Matovu’s death on Thursday last week.
He was however not allowed to take plea since he is facing a capital offence only tried by the Hig Court.
Senior Grade One Magistrate Aidah Nanjala remanded Nsamba to Luzira government prison until November, 3 after prosecutor, Jemima Achingo told court that investigations into Matovu’s death were still ongoing.
